Green Teens – June 2016 Library Program

In June 2016 our instructors taught a 2-week sustainable education workshop series for teens at the Durham Main Public Library titled: “Green Teens: Getting Right with the Earth.” Every class had a hands-on activity and the series included themes on nature’s cycles, climate change, solar energy, recycling, organic gardening, healthy food, clean transportation and conserving water resources. Instructors included Bari Hobbs, Thomas Fletcher, Jonathan Sheline, and Sandy Smith-Nonini.  The course was funded by a LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) Grant through a partnership with the library’s teen programming office.
