YIKES!/Recyclique moved with the Forest Foundation from our initial warehouse space to a new site around the corner on S. Goley St. (just off Angier Ave.) in May 2009. The Forest Foundation dubbed the new space “the Green Oil and Light (GOAL) Campus”. We held three volunteer work days in fall 2009 to insulate the workshop (many thanks to Travis Cohn, Don Nonini, Susan O’Neil & the Durham Tech Brownsfield course grads for their help).
The Recyclique project shared space with the Forest Foundation, GreenWay Transit &
Carolina Biodiesel on the GOAL Campus. Today we continue to collaborate with the the Forest Foundation and the Durham Economic Resource Center (DERC) on a green jobs training program (see projects page).
We moved to our current house at 2811 Hillsborough Rd. in April 2011. But much as we love our new space, we still miss the rich camaraderie of hanging with Marc Dreyfors and friends on the GOAL campus. Thanks Marc for all your support.
